With a culinary history dating back centuries, our top chef and dedicated mother Fatima with her outstanding skills has preserved the authenticity of Madeiran recipes while infusing them with a modern twist. We source the finest ingredients to ensure that every dish reflects the true spirit of Madeira's gastronomy.

Here is a little history...

Back dating to 2003 , Fatima the original owner opened this beautiful place into a café then slowly progressing into a Portuguese restaurant called O'Picado which was an absolute success where her children also helped her run the place. Then  in 2022 unfortunately a huge devastation occurred and a fire took place which completely destroyed this historic restaurant and broke everyone's heart including our loyal customers.

Don't worry the story doesn't end here...

After two years and with endless support from family, friends and customers we decided to re-open this beautiful place and have a complete revamp. It's been upgraded and is better than ever. Daughter Nidia now running this place with her family and taking over giving it a fresh look and a new menu for everyone to enjoy that caters to all.
